The installation In Fabula, by Alessandra Beltrame, is an evolving story which from time to time incorporates new and intricate concepts designed to transform new ideas into a linear narrative journey brought to life by the visitor’s fascination.
The artist’s gaze rests upon the objects randomly encountered on her path: she observes them, listens to their unusual stories and then, using red thread (fil rouge), sews on each one of them a golden cloth that binds them together and, erasing their individuality, renders them small pieces of a unique, new narrative.
An open narrative.
The result is disorienting: what we thought was familiar is no longer what it seems.
